Goal: Propose and implement a technology to overcome iSCSI bottlenecks in distributed storage


  • Research sharded iSCSI configuration (striping) for scalable performance and real network multi-path
  • Consider real shared access to pstorage from iSCSI targets
  • Propose and implement a method of splitting image into pieces, so each target could lock it’s own piece and redirect requests to another target managing other pieces if needed
  • Evaluate scalability of EMC and NetAPP volumes and compare with them
